Profit is realised only: tokens sold for more (or less) than they cost, average-cost method, valued in USD at the NEAR price of the moment. Tokens sold that were never seen being bought count for nothing. Open positions are valued at each token's last trade price and can be moved by a thin pool. Portfolio balances come from FastNEAR's account index and are valued at Intear's live prices; the unrealised figure covers only the part of a holding the engine saw being bought.
